Yes. MeowMD is a Progressive Web App. After the first visit it loads from your device, so you can read and write Markdown without an internet connection, and you can install it like a native app.
Yes. The viewer renders GitHub Flavored Markdown, including tables, task lists, callouts such as NOTE and WARNING, footnotes, and syntax highlighted code, so your README looks the way it will on GitHub.
Yes. Fenced mermaid code blocks render as diagrams, and $...$ or $$...$$ expressions render with KaTeX. This makes MeowMD useful for lecture notes, lab reports, research notes and technical documentation.
Yes. Any folder of .md files, including an Obsidian vault or a Notion Markdown export, can be dropped onto the viewer. Files appear in a sidebar with fuzzy search across names and content.
Open the file in the viewer and click Export PDF. The PDF keeps typography, code highlighting, tables, diagrams and math. You can also print directly or copy the rendered HTML.
Use the editor. Write with a familiar formatting toolbar, insert tables, links, images, code blocks and callouts from menus, and copy or download the generated Markdown. The syntax appears live beside your text so you learn it as you go.
